What is art? Is street art, art or just graffiti? Is modern art rubbish?
In the morning we will head to ACCA (the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art) and explore modern art at one of Australia's leading galleries.
In the afternoon we are lucky enough to be taken on a street art tour of Melbourne by amazing Melbourne street artist and illustrator Michael Fikaris. We will finish at Blender Studios, an art collective home to some of Melbourne's best artists both street and otherwise.
Media Literacy Trail
How does the media try to shape our identity? Are teenagers free to develop their own sense of selves or are they defined by films, advertising and the internet?
Who speaks for young people? Which forms of media represent the interests and needs of youth best?
We will be tackling these questions and investigating media representations in the community on Wednesday - along with a session at SYN FM where you will have the opportunity to create a radio broadcast.

What makes good music? How do we determine what is quality and what is trash? Does the location in which we listen to music effect our experience of it? Why is music so important to us as a society?
We will be exploring these questions and visiting various music venues - you will be able to decide for yourself!
